To strengthen our team, we are looking for a driven Business Developer who will help accelerate the growth of Cactus.
What You Will Do
As a Business Developer at Cactus, you will be responsible for expanding our client base and generating new business opportunities. Your focus will be on lead generation, converting leads into concrete opportunities, and successfully closing deals. Your tasks will include:
1. Identifying new business opportunities: Research the market and create a targeted list of potential clients.
2. Active prospecting: Reach out to potential customers via phone, email, in-person visits, and trade fairs to present Cactus’ value proposition.
3. Assessment of the opportunity: Understand the specific needs of prospects and translate them into tailored solutions.
4. Sales pipeline management: Organize and prioritize your sales opportunities within our CRM system (Odoo).
5. Collaboration with internal teams: Work closely with HR, marketing, and operations teams to create proposals and ensure quality service delivery.
6. Negotiation and deal closing: Conduct contract negotiations and ensure proper administrative follow-up.
What We Expect
We are looking for the next resilient Cactus, an energetic and results-driven professional with a passion for sales and technology. The ideal candidate has:
1. Experience in B2B sales: Preferably in the technology or software services sector.
2. Understanding of Software Engineering: A genuine passion for technology with a strong desire to deepen your knowledge of our services and solutions.
3. Independence and proactivity: Ability to work independently and take initiative.
4. Excellent communication skills: Fluent in Dutch and English; proficiency in French is a plus.
5. Flexibility: Strong willingness to travel to clients, prospects, and events; working from our co-working spaces in Brussels, Ghent, or Antwerp, or sometimes from home.
6. Education: A bachelor's or master's degree, but more important is an initial professional experience in business development and CRM systems (experience with Odoo is a plus).
