Main role purpose:
To support the central Research, Technology and Engineering materials and corrosion team in managing the asset integrity of Inovyn’s manufacturing assets.
Key responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. As one of a small number of central business experts in the field of non-destructive testing the job holder will define the requirements and deliver practical inspection and testing across the business for both in-service and new equipment
2. Interpret the results of inspection, inform operators of equipment condition and challenge suppliers
3. Write comprehensive inspection reports highlighting critical information
4. Recommend repairs and modifications
5. Manage and supervise corrosion management including laboratory materials testing and analysis
Key skills & experience:
6. University graduate degree in engineering or equivalent experience with knowledge of material properties
7. Practical qualifications in non-destructive testing, PCN/ASNT level 1, level 2.
8. At least 3 years’ experience within and industrial, chemical manufacturing facility performing non-destructive testing and supervisory tasks. Familiar with the most common forms of non-destructive testing VT, PT, UT, MT, PMI.
9. Regular European travel for short periods
10. Experienced and comfortable working for extended periods in confined spaces with limited access
11. Flexible approach to work and short notice request
12. Written and verbal English and French.
