Job Description:
As Category Manager, you’ll join the Commercial Excellence team. You’ll support the newly formed Consumer Brands division in the field of Category Management and work with leading brands such as Persil, Syoss, and Schwarzkopf within FMCG.
YOUR ROLE
* You have a business building role internally and externally by translating your category expertise into a smart and successful category strategy.
* You develop, implement, and monitor assortment and shelf strategy for the assigned categories and key retailers.
* You analyze the category/market and its trends and look for opportunities to grow.
* You develop, implement, and monitor growth plans, based on consumer, shopper, and retailer insights.
* You ensure the best possible listings and support plan for Henkel Consumer Brand innovations.
* You act independently and proactively within the organization and work closely together with sales and marketing.
* The successful implementation of our perfect portfolio strategy, including innovation pipeline, is a key contributor to success and is one of the key focus points.
YOUR SKILLS
* You hold an academic degree in Economics, Business Administration, or similar.
* You have solid and relevant experience (at least 2-3 years) within FMCG in Category Management, Sales, or Marketing, with a proven track record of commercial results.
* You are fluent in English and either French or Dutch.
* You are detail-oriented while not missing the bigger picture.
* You act as a team player who thinks in terms of solutions and feels full responsibility for the outcome of their job.
* You possess analytical skills – the Category Manager must be able to perform data-driven market analyses, as well as determine basic analyses required to support shelf proposals (e.g., define category/shelf opportunities, collect data, identify issues, and present results).
* You have strong computer skills – advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required. Specific software (such as SpaceMan) and knowledge in Market Research tools such as Nielsen and GFK SIV is considered an advantage.
