On behalf of our client, MARPRO is looking for a Head of Sales to join the Commercial department of a world-renowned maritime company based in Antwerp.
As the Head of Sales, you will play a key role in aligning the company’s customer-centric strategies with its overall business objectives, driving customer satisfaction and revenue growth in shipping. You will manage the Global Sales, Local Sales, and Sales Support teams to drive the development and execution of a commercialization strategy in line with the company’s business plans. Your focus will be on driving market adoption of products and ensuring business, revenue, and market share growth. Taking a global perspective on market opportunities, you will lead and prioritize commercial action plans, ensuring that all departments are aligned to meet their strategic commercial objectives.
Your role will involve dual responsibilities – managing teams on one hand, and overseeing sales activities within the country scope on the other.
The key responsibilities
* Set up, organize, and drive your sales teams to follow up the customer portfolio and identify growth opportunities within their area.
* Develop commercial activities according to the objectives set by the Group.
* Validate and challenge business action plans developed by Sales Managers.
* Implement management tools to follow sales teams’ performances as per the group strategy, and proactively implement corrective actions when necessary.
* Promote products and services to customers and prospects.
* Analyze market statistics on a regular basis and report to the General Management and teams based in the Regional Office.
Professional Qualifications
* 5+ years of Account Manager experience.
* Strong knowledge of shipping, with at least 5 years of experience in liner shipping.
* Management and leadership skills.
* Effective communication skills, including the ability to articulate various business scenarios to customers, senior business leaders, and middle management.
* Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and ability to manage stress in challenging situations.
* Efficient prioritization and time management skills.
* Previous experience with the Salesforce platform.
* Analytical mindset and ability to use data for decision-making.
