Job content:
* Operate and develop the advanced test rigs by conducting tests to evaluate the performance for conventional, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
* Develop and improve the test rig environment, hardware as well as software, where focus is on innovation and precision in test performance. In regards of software, the test rig runs on real-time platform in combination with Python and CANape as automation tools.
* Take ownership of assigned test rigs, ensuring high-quality operation, routine maintenance, necessary upgrades, and continuous efficiency improvements.
* Act as the primary contact for operational issues, resolving problems systematically to prevent recurrence.
* Collaborate closely with validation and test engineering, test rig operators, and various R&D departments to execute and optimize testing processes.
* Develop tools and documentation to standardize and ensure consistent operation across all test rigs by setting and using Key Performance Indicators to enhance testing quality and efficiency.
* You will be working in the R&D Test Center department in Sint-Truiden where automatic transmissions, hybrid, and full electric prototype powertrains are assembled and validated.
Your profile:
* Engineering degree that shows interest for mechatronic systems.
* Programming background is required.
* Basic knowledge of control theory, structural dynamics, and high voltage applications is essential.
* Knowledge of automotive testing, sensors, data acquisition, test equipment, and electro mechanics is an asset.
* You have a structured way of software development and problem solving.
* Thanks to your clear communication skills and good knowledge of English, you are proficient in reporting knowledge and results.
* You are perseverant and an excellent team player.
