For our client in Antwerp we are hiring a Lead Planning Engineer.
You will provide schedule management services to control the construction phase of the Cracker project, until the end of the construction phase in September 2026.
Overseeing the site construction scheduling activities performed by the EPCm contractor, who provides planning services for Cracker.
Monitoring and monthly reporting of Cracker schedules, physical progress, and forecasts - includes consolidation of all component projects and activities.
Monitoring and reporting of Cracker KPI’s for intervention thresholds and triggers.
Possessing a detailed understanding of the Cracker construction critical paths, and near critical path activities always, proactively communicating them for optimum value deployment by the construction teams.
Monitoring and monthly reporting of all critical related project’s schedules, physical progress, and forecasts.
Publishes and reports Cracker project progress through an existing set of communication tools and methods.
Mentoring and supporting planners when needed.
Je profiel
A bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent, is preferred but not mandatory.
A minimum of 15 years’ experience in a process industry production and/or engineering environment with large (>$100mil.)/mega (>$1bil.) capital project management experience.
Successful in Lead planning role position(s) for a large project(s) in construction site.
Thorough working knowledge of scheduling practices for projects and for programs in construction phase.
Thorough knowledge of control/monitoring of construction sub-contractors on site with large contracts value ( >50-100million €).
Global experience of fabrication (Middle East) and construction in Europe.
Good understanding of chemical engineering and chemical plant operations (cracker experience preferred).
Comfortable presenting schedule topics to all levels.
Excellent working knowledge of Primavera P6 and Primavera Risk Analysis software.
Schedule risk workshops facilitation and Schedule Risks Analysis reporting.
Forensic Schedule Analysis.
Ability to digest lots of detailed information whilst also stepping back to see the bigger picture.
Behavioural Skills: Team player; Approachable with strong communication skills; Leadership on construction sites.
