Jan De Nul Group offers specialised services for the installation of subsea structures for the oil, gas and renewable energy markets. Seabed preparation, dredging of trenches, as well as their stabilisation and ballasting, belong to the offshore services. Whether it concerns subsea pipelines, cables, umbilicals, foundations, platforms or even integral wind farms: everything is always tailored to the needs of the client and on an EPC-basis if required. Your Role
For this variety in Offshore activities, we are looking for experienced Tender Engineers. You are responsible for the price calculation on important offshore marine projects during tender phase.
Your tasks and responsibilities include:
* Analyse the technical feasibility of plans and tender documents
* Examine and compare the various execution techniques in order to arrive at a technically and commercially interesting offer
* Determine the overall cost for a project, after comparison and evaluation of quotations of suppliers and subcontractors
* Analyse the different risk factors and select the most appropriate equipment and execution method in collaboration with the Project Engineers
* Collaborate with colleagues of specialised in-house departments that provide stability calculations, drawings etc.
What do you need to have?
You are a Civil/Mechanical Engineer with some years of experience in a similar and/or executive function within the construction or marine sector. You are proficient in MS Office (especially Excel). A good knowledge of English is required. Your work is accurate and methodical, still creativity and passion matter just as much.
You will work from our office in Aalst but you will occasionally visit our sites abroad.
