Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
For Training Development and Delivery:
1. Design and deliver comprehensive cybersecurity training programs for the ESA Security Cyber Centre of Excellence (SCCoE).
2. Create and maintain instructor-led training materials including syllabi, course notes, and practical exercises.
3. Develop and implement practical cybersecurity scenarios using modern cyber range infrastructure.
4. Deliver instructor-led and hands-on training sessions and provide technical support during cyber exercises.
5. Prepare and deliver technical presentations on cybersecurity topics for various stakeholders.
6. Continuously evaluate and enhance training effectiveness based on participant feedback and emerging threats.
For Technical Operations:
1. Manage and maintain SCCoE’s training delivery platforms including the learning management system and CTF platform.
2. Provide technical guidance and support to clients during mission-specific testing.
3. Contribute to research and development of cybersecurity solutions specific to space systems, including ground, space, and data segments.
4. Conduct cyber-risk assessments and security operations management for complex space systems.
For Strategic Development:
1. Identify opportunities for improving and expanding the SCCoE project.
2. Research and integrate emerging cybersecurity threats and defense strategies into training materials.
3. Collaborate with stakeholders to align training content with organizational security objectives.
4. Contribute to the advancement of security simulation and testing methodologies.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
1. University Degree in a relevant field or equivalent professional cybersecurity certifications.
2. Proven experience in cybersecurity.
3. Experience in at least one of the following domains: Penetration testing, Forensics investigation, and/or Malware analysis.
4. In-depth knowledge and practical experience in a variety of IT and cybersecurity technologies and products on various operating systems.
5. Hands-on experience configuring and operating cyber range environments.
6. Proficiency in at least one scripting language (bash, python, etc.).
7. Experience working with virtualized environments such as VMWare.
8. Effective time management and organizational skills.
9. Experience in space industry cybersecurity, or willingness to learn.
10. Desire to work both autonomously and as part of a team, in an international multicultural environment.
11. Solution-oriented mindset, with a customer-focused communication skill.
12. Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
1. Experience with Ansible.
2. Coding experience in one of the compiled languages (java, C, etc.).
3. Training in teaching (train the trainer) or/and teaching experience/credentials.
4. Familiarity with ADDIE model and Bloom's taxonomy or relevant.
