Continuous Improvement Champion

As Factory Continuous Improvement (CI) Champion, you will play a pivotal role in developing, maintaining, and enhancing end-to-end (E2E) supply chain processes standards. Your role involves implementing and embedding lean principles and continuous improvement (CI) methodologies across the factory organization. You will ensure that production processes are efficient, safe, and of high quality while continuously seeking innovative ways to enhance operations and minimize waste, leveraging your strong business acumen.
What you’ll be doing:
Strategy and Performance:
1. Pilot implementation and shape Paulig Operating System (POS) standards.
2. Shape and deploy POS standards and methods (Hoshin Planning, Daily Management routines, Gemba Walks, 5S, Problem Solving, SOPs, VSM, etc.)
3. Facilitate Kaizen events or other cost optimization initiatives.
4. Support factory management team to run material loss & production cost structure analysis to build a solid pipeline of productivity initiatives fostering Paulig competitiveness.
5. Drive the execution and follow-up of the productivity projects implementation plan in close collaboration with the factory management and support functions.
6. Measure business impact (financial & non-financial) of productivity initiatives.
7. Utilize data analysis and benchmarking to drive improvements and decision-making process for site management.
8. Support operations in resolving issues by applying standard Problem Solving methodology.
9. Support integration of CI methodology into process digitalization projects.
Paulig Excellence Culture:
1. Collaborate closely with Safety and Quality factory managers to support the sites to deploy Safety and Quality standards to meet Paulig objectives.
2. Support building a continuous improvement culture and mindset by sharing, implementing, and maintaining the best practices.
3. Act as an active change agent engaging key stakeholders across factory organization.
4. Support the sites to run POS Excellence Maturity assessments to define improvement initiatives to gain more maturity.
5. Promote Paulig POS Excellence behaviors.
6. Support factory management team to deploy POS Excellence employee’s recognition.
Organization and individual capability building:
1. Support and deliver POS training curriculum deployment.
2. Increase the productivity improvement skillset in the individual plants by on-the-floor coaching and mentoring of various stakeholders from operator up to Plant Manager.
3. Actively promote the CI leadership to share knowledge, best practices, and success stories.
Reporting line: Plant Manager
Metrics: Productivity improvement cost reduction %/ Euro/ KG, Safety & Quality KPIs improvement, site maturity level score increase, % of targeted population trained.
What we expect from you:
1. Master of Science in Engineering or similar
2. Relevant background within CI
3. Project management experience from major manufacturing efficiency projects
4. Lean management experience
5. Experience in working in international environment is preferable
6. Process development experience
7. Good knowledge of 4.0 and digitalization in manufacturing
8. Fluency in English on a professional level, both oral and written
9. Knowledge of French, both oral and written is a plus
10. Capability to inspire people to build a CI culture
11. Hands-on approach if needed to get the project done.
