* Manage the company operationally on a daily basis
* Further commercially develop and drive regional expansion of the business
* Maintain the existing and well appreciated long lasting relationships with suppliers
* You bear the final responsibility in the customer process, ranging from quotation to handling any complaints
* You manage the activity of the company as a whole and make the important decisions that affect the organization
* You manage the company's resources and direct where they are deployed
* You negotiate or approve the contracts for the company
Exigences de l'emploi
* You preferably have a Bachelor's degree. Ideally, a technical education, supplemented by a commercial education or training. Or a commercial education, with a proven interest and experience in a technical sector.
* Diplomatic personality yet persistent
* Strong commercial drive
* As a General Manager you are familiar with the workings of a family business and are able to diplomatically initiate and implement change processes, and create buy-in from both employees and owners
* You are a strong people manager who succeeds in coaching teams to a higher level and giving them sufficient independence so that they can work autonomously to a large extent
* Hands-on, with sufficient knowledge of the construction sector or related (e.g. installation kitchens, bathrooms...)
* Common sense and practical attitude
* You are dynamic and have great empathy
* Experience working in the region (Kempen) is a strong plus
* Experience in recruiting and managing technical profiles (installers)
* Preferably having an interest in acquiring the company in the medium term (3-5 years)
* Ideally: basic knowledge of marketing and social media
* You are fluent in Dutch and you are able to have a professional conversation in French. Knowledge of German and English are a plus.
A challenging long term full-time assignment for an independent manager who will invoice through their management company. Remuneration will be a fixed daily rate to be agreed, supplemented with a yearly bonus based on the achieved sales and EBITDA objectives.
