As a Business and Functional Analyst in the Analyses Chapter, you are joining a team of highly talented and motivated analysts in the domain of Operational Planning & Competencies.
This domain designs and delivers the IT solutions for the planning and competency management of NMBS resources. Think about train drivers, train managers, stations personel, locomotives, coaches… and many more…
Your first project will be “Alternative Solutions” which will create a new software to manage book-to-bill the alternative solutions for planned or unexpected interruptions of our train traffic.
You will be the key player in a three steps process, from elicitation and challenging of business demand over functional analyses into clear requested deliverables to the implementation team.
In this role, you will have company wide touch points and you will have the direct opportunity to shape the project’s outputs and help NMBS deliver increasingly better services.

14. You have 4+ years of experience as business or functional analyst in software development projects
15. Advanced experience in managing backlogs and analyses in Jira/Confluence and analyses tools
16. You have a good understanding of IT systems and software
17. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing teams, including career development and performance management.
18. Proven ability to coach and mentor team members.
19. Strong organizational skills for optimal workforce planning.
20. Experience in creating and managing budgets.
