Production Head Unit Development/Evaluation Design, develop & test vehicle ECUs for production release, including at each development step from early requirements making, prototyping/concept proofing and until production implementation and validation (both SW and HW) Based on system specifications and evaluation best practices, define the evaluation test cases/scenarios and execute them for the target ECU, both during bench and field/road tests. Report and document the issues found using the appropriate channels and follow-up the countermeasure implementation and validation. Design, develop & maintain tools and processes which will enable Hardware In the Loop evaluation (HIL) on bench as well as in-vehicle road tests. Support Field Quality monitoring and issue investigation/resolution activities. Future ECU development preparation Benchmark & monitor latest technologies and trends in the fields of multimedia, navigation, HMI and vehicle-to-cloud interfaces for the European market. Support the making of technical proposals and translate them into requirements and function specifications. Support the ideation and development process of new features and connected services within our innovation workshops and the development of ‘proof of concepts’. Project management & communication Develop and follow-up project schedule with stakeholders (suppliers & other Toyota affiliates) Report project status in a clear manner to Toyota line management, including deviations to support fast corrective action decision. Maintain and document regular communication with project partners (suppliers, research/consulting companies, teams in Japan, and -more widely- with all Toyota technical teams involved or related to the system) Establish and maintain the planning of test activities and coordinate/animate regular team meetings/sprint reviews. For TME Graduate positions we are targeting recent University Graduates (less than 18 months of experience excluding internships) You are fluent in English (TME’s business language) You have a Masters degree in Engineering, with a specialization in Electronics/Systems engineering or Computer Science. You have a strong interest in electronics and automotive systems. Prior experience in automotive/electronics industry is an asset (ex: software or electronics design and validation) You are strong in problem-solving, logical thinking, reporting and have good planning & organizational skills. You have good knowledge of: Software development and evaluation process and methodology in automotive domain, Project management You have a basic understanding of: Networks & automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, Bluetooth, WiFi, 4G/LTE) AM/FM and DAB radio technologies. GNSS and navigation/map technologies. AI technologies including ML (Machine Learning), and generative AI/LLM (Large Language Models). You are available to travel for business.
