As an Associate Director, Technology Product Management (Belgium) youwill govern the Belgium Product Management vision and strategy, aligned to the TAA Belgium and European priorities ensuring all product delivery is part of the much broader and long-term strategic plan that looks to deliver on short and long-term revenue and profit targets.
In this role you will be responsible for the prioritization of product management activities within the Belgium business, include European assets, whilst ensuring a clear governance model and methodology is in place between the product management and technology areas.
The Product Management team will be responsible for building a deep understanding of the Tax Advisor/ SME market needs.
Things you will be doing:
1. Be a member of the Wolters Kluwer TAA Benelux leadership team
2. Responsible for formulating the strategy for the given areas of product/services, ensuring the roadmap supports the Belgium business growth.
3. Work in conjunction with all global regions to leverage existing assets, share new ideas and wherever possible align on an optimum client benefit strategy that maximizes revenue and profit.
4. Deliver a process and methodology for monetizing products and services.
5. Work in conjunction with product owners, sales and marketing, to turn a client proposition strategy into quantifiable deliverables that can be successfully monetized.
6. Manage/assist in key projects that look to position products/services in new market segments or product verticals/geographies.
7. Oversee the ongoing release cycle for Belgium products and services by working with the Director of Technology, ensuring the product backlog is fully managed and that release contents are planned in so that release contents can successfully be identified, built, released to time, quality, budget and to market needs.
8. Understand competitors’ products and look for ways that Wolters Kluwer can be differentiated to competition in the future and highlight the benefits associated with this differentiation.
9. Foster an environment that is aligned with the business strategy including innovation, customer relationship, entrepreneurial spirit, and employee engagement.
What you have done:
10. Extensive experience in Software as a Service background is required.
11. Preferred experience in Accountancy / Practice experience.
12. Preferred experience in Tax or General Practice experience.
13. Experience in managing people is required.
14. Strong communication skills – Able to articulate ideas and solutions across teams and a diverse audience.
15. Able to work effectively across multiple functions and organizations, facilitating, influencing and working collaboratively, securing agreement and ensuring delivery of agreed outcomes.
16. Proven track record in a leadership role
17. Strategic thinker – able to develop a new, innovative, creative approach, framework to complex problems, situations or opportunities.
18. Strong negotiation and influencing skills - able to influence outcomes and gain the active co-operation of others in the business.
19. Ability to understand and process technical detail and simplify this into customer facing messaging and illustrations.
20. Ability to quickly pick up and learn about the market trends and drivers for change and make suggestions to gain a competitive advantage.
Your education and language skills:
21. Educated at university degree level.
22. Fluent in Dutch and English.
23. French language is desirable.
