At Swift, we are seeking a Manager DCIM Engineering who is passionate about innovation and excellence. In this role, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of data center management and engineering. You will play a critical part in our mission to provide reliable, secure, and efficient infrastructure solutions.
What to expect:
1. Manage the DCIM department, ensuring high performance and reliability of our infrastructure. Report to senior management and collaborate with multi-functional teams to achieve strategic goals.
2. Plan, coordinate, and prioritize DCIM activities, including engineering and project management for mechanical, electrical, and security infrastructure.
3. Set objectives and develop medium to long-term plans in alignment with overall data center strategy and lifecycle renewals.
4. Lead DCIM department projects and vendor relationships to ensure delivery against short and medium-term objectives.
5. Implement and maintain HR policies and procedures; hire, reward, mentor, motivate, and develop team members.
6. Prepare, propose, substantiate, and manage departmental budget, authorize expenditures, and assess budget performance.
7. Build, maintain, and develop cross-departmental and cross-divisional relationships.
8. Ensure the quality of services by monitoring service levels, analyzing trends, and correcting deficiencies.
9. Act as the management point of contact for any major problems or disasters, initiating preventive actions.
10. Manage relationships and communication with third-party suppliers, collaborators, customers, partners, and team members to resolve and prevent complex problems.
11. Implement resilience improvement programs and manage change to increase performance.
What will make you successful?
We are seeking professionals with:
1. A university degree in IT/Engineering.
2. At least 8-10 years of experience in a data center infrastructure environment within the financial and/or telecoms industry, with 5 years in managing staff.
3. Strong expertise in Datacenter Engineering and Datacenter Operations.
4. Proven ability to plan, coordinate, and prioritize complex DCIM activities.
5. Outstanding leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent budget management and analytical abilities.
7. Proven track record of building and maintaining cross-departmental relationships.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to act decisively in crisis situations.
Preferred qualifications:
Advanced certifications in data center management or related fields.
Experience with resilience improvement programs and change management.
Strong vendor management and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to implement and maintain HR policies and procedures.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
