Role Context
As a Senior Process Engineer, you will fulfill a crucial role in projects in the (petro)chemical & refinery industry. You will act as an interface with the other engineering disciplines.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the design of process units in chemical, petrochemical & pilot projects.
* Provide guidance to less experienced process engineers.
* Develop, review, and approve process flow diagrams and heat and material balances to define project scope.
* Review and approve datasheets for process equipment.
* Prepare specifications and operating parameters for process, piping, and instrumentation equipment.
* Calculate and organize data for PFDs and P&IDs.
* Co-develop process control narratives and cause & effect diagrams.
* Perform hydraulic calculations for fluid and vapor circuits.
* Prepare sizing calculations for pressure relieving designs.
* Participate in planning, cost estimating, and scheduling for projects.
* Maintain effective communication with project team members and clients.
* Develop, review, and approve simulation models for a process unit.
* Lead projects, implying responsibility over planning, manpower, and quality.
Qualifications
* Industry-specific experience: Knowledge of engineering work processes in the chemical and petrochemical industry; knowledge of bio-chemical processes is a surplus.
* Education: Master's degree in engineering or industrial engineering discipline (chemistry).
* People skills: Motivational and collaborative communication skills.
* Communication skills: Strong speaking and writing skills.
* Language skills: Proficient in Dutch and English.
