Segments.ai is helping robotics and automotive companies label their multi-sensor data for AI training and validation. Our platform enables customers to efficiently annotate their point cloud and image data, accelerating their path to autonomy.
We're a fast-growing, remote-first YC startup that was founded in 2020 with a lean team and healthy runway. Segments.ai is used by large organizations as well as innovative startups building the next generation of autonomous drones, delivery robots, self-driving cars, and more.
We are looking for someone with strong experience in developing partnerships and sales opportunities. In this role you'll report to the CEO, and work closely with the sales and marketing team and the founders. You will get to join this team on a couple of trips per year to the USA and locations around Europe for industry events, as well as on our annual trip as a team.
Your responsibilities
* Evangelize Segments.ai to prospects and partners;
* Identify & cultivate relationships with decision-makers within targeted accounts;
* Set up and attend outbound meetings around conference and trade shows;
* Conduct discovery/ qualification conversations with prospect enterprise customers and partners;
* Use your expertise in labeling and/or AV/perception to demonstrate our cutting-edge capabilities, which will strengthen relationships that you develop;
* Research market opportunities and the best approaches to tackle them;
* Develop strategies for lead generation and nurturing prospects;
* Support sales executives in busy periods with responding to requests for calls and demos from inbound leads, and outbound prospection via email, Linkedin and cold calling;
* Monitor and report on sales and business development strategies and activities;
* Work collaboratively with development, sales and marketing to update sales content and templates as needed;
* Educate the broader team on your learnings in the market and from customers;
* This is a highly technical product and you will need to become very familiar with it and stay up to date with it.
Skills & experience
🤝 You are a natural relationship builder with a strong track-record of leveraging these relationships to identify opportunities, and negotiate and close deals.
🤖 Expertise in labeling and/ or AV/ perception.
🎓 +7 years of experience in business development ideally for enterprise SaaS products.
🗣️ Proven go-to-market and distribution channel expertise.
🎯 A focus on goals with a proven track record and thrives in a fast-paced remote environment.
🙋 Solid communications skills - both verbal and written (exceptional English skills).
😁 Positive and energetic phone skills, excellent listening skills.

🥼 STEM background, and ideally has worked in a startup before.
