For a challenging project at our client we are looking for a Chief Data Functional Analyst, to assist the Chief Data Officer (CDO) in defining and implementing the data strategy within the organization. You lead a team of functional data analysts, responsible for addressing business needs related to analytical solutions and master data management, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations.
* You collaborate with business units, IT teams, and external partners such as mutual insurance organizations and health data agencies to gather requirements and ensure a consistent and structured approach to data sharing.
* You are part of the Data Office, a cross-functional unit that delivers data services in an agile environment. You work closely with development teams, data architects, data governance teams, and the Data Protection Officer (DPO).
YOUR JOB
* Support the CDO in implementing the data strategy and contribute to defining the roadmap for data initiatives, including BI, advanced analytics (AI), and data governance.
* Lead a team of 5 functional data analysts, ensuring they collect business requirements and translate them into technical specifications following established methodologies. Facilitate their collaboration with project managers, data architects, and developers.
* Manage the Data Functional Analyst Competence Center, defining standards and best practices in methodology.
* Ensure a deep understanding of business processes and challenges related to data and storage management.
* Contribute to defining the conceptual data model of the organization, working alongside data architects and business experts.
* Centralize a registry of all analytical data processing, collaborating with teams and sharing insights with the DPO. Work with legal experts to ensure that data solutions comply with legal requirements.
* Collaborate with data governance teams to develop metadata catalogs.
* Play an active role in identifying staffing needs within the Data Office and support the recruitment of new talent.
* Maintain relationships with key organizations in the healthcare and public sector, fostering data interoperability at national and European levels.
YOUR TECHNICAL SKILLS
* Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
* At least 5 years of experience in data management and/or functional data analysis.
* At least 5 years of experience leading teams in an agile environment.
* At least 3 years years of experience in data modeling (conceptual and logical modeling) as part of data warehouse development (Kimball methodology).
* Hands-on experience with data analysis tools such as SQL, Python, R, or BI platforms like Power BI.
* Strong knowledge of GDPR processes.
* Familiarity with repository management and/or master data management.
* Understanding of data governance and metadata management principles.
* Experience in change management, driving the implementation of new initiatives and technologies.
