JOB DESCRIPTION
Provides property risk engineering value added and pragmatic solutions and risk profiling/evaluation services to stakeholders in the Benelux region and if required across Continental Europe. You will join Risk Engineering Services (RES), an integrated service organization within Chubb. The team exists of more than 400 engineers and industry specialists located all around the world and there to support underwriting with profound expertise and risk knowledge.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To provide risk engineering technical support to all Chubb stakeholders, to help reduce the exposures to the line of business portfolio, but also in the acquisition, retention and regaining of business process.
2. To provide risk engineering services to selected clients and designated accounts by participating on the risk selection process and developing and executing an efficient, effective and solutions orientated service programme.
3. To provide reports and presentations to internal staff, clients and brokers as appropriate.
4. Maintain collaborative, professional, consultative client-centric relationships; actively facilitate exchange and bring to bear expertise among peers within the organization.
5. To represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with underwriters, brokers and key clients.
6. To analyse and review portfolio to tackle elements that complement actuaries analyses, accessing external resources, review of technology trends, research on emerging hazard. Perform risk monitoring, identifying industry-specific threats and trends. Project oriented work to develop and update risk assessment methodologies, checklists and tools.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & CHARACTERISTICS
Our ideal candidate is able to work independently with minimal direction and highly self-motivated in a multi-cultural, remote team environment. Comfortable working in an international business environment and interacting with brokers and clients. You are proficient in problem solving and process management capabilities; willing to constantly broaden and enhance own scope of expertise according to business needs. Interdisciplinary orientation is a plus.
Profile requirements:
7. Are qualified to a minimum of bachelor’s degree level education in a science or technology-based subject.
8. Have 4+ years of experience in a senior technical or engineering role, preferably with exposure to supply chain, quality assurance, contractual negotiation with internal and external stakeholders or a senior role in a regulatory or enforcement agency whereby investigation and enquiry across a wide range of industries forms a core part of the role.
9. Have excellent verbal and written skills in English and Dutch. French is a plus.
10. Have knowledge of and interest in recent technological developments in manufacturing and processing (. Industry 4.0) and knowledge of digital office tools as well as basic knowledge in data analytics.
11. Are available for travelling, mainly within Europe, for site visits and/or meetings.
12. Experience in enterprise risk management and/or the insurance industry is considered a plus
