As part of the Payroll Services team, you responsibilities will include:
Payroll Management
1. You ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll for Belgium, in collaboration with payroll providers and the local payroll team, initially. It will include the preparation, control, and finalization of monthly payroll but also annual calculations (. single and double holiday pay, holiday attestations, 13th month, warrants,, leavers calculation and launching interfaces between different systems. With the progress of your role, you might also be responsible for processing international payrolls for different countries.
2. You are responsible for the ongoing maintenance and accuracy of data in the payroll systems Fusion, ChronoTime, e-Blox Payroll and other HR systems to guarantee the availability of correct and reliable employee information.
3. You contribute to internal and external payroll audits.
4. You can rationalize the calculations and processes towards Audit, Financial departments, and inspection services.
5. You respond in second line support to questions and queries related to payroll and time & attendance information escalated by the Group People Desk and solve complex payroll matters in a timely manner meeting Service Level Agreements.
6. You guarantee a consistent and fair service to all customers.
7. You process internal and statutory reporting.
8. You set the yearly payroll calendar, determining the payroll cycle and communicate this with the external third-party payroll provider and the Euroclear People & Communications (Operations) Team.
9. You report to the International Payroll Manager.
Continuous Improvement and Project management
10. You constantly seek opportunities to improve processes and procedures and drive self-service concepts, with an ongoing focus on Continuous Improvement.
11. You participate and/or take the lead in assigned Continuous Improvement Initiatives and Payroll Projects.
Communication
12. You collaborate closely with People and Communication colleagues and other internal teams (. Finance, IT, on process management, to resolve any issues and to better serve the internal and external customers as One Euroclear Team.
13. You share your expertise in a natural way with your colleagues and contribute to a knowledge management culture by producing clear documentation (Standard Operation Procedures, SharePoint related content)
14. You are a change agent and actively support the alignment of processes.
For success in the role, we expect the following qualifications
15. 3-5 years of proven experience in payroll processing and familiarity with Belgian social and tax legislation.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft 0365 Word, Excel as well as various HR systems. Knowledge of eBlox Payroll from SD Worx is essential.
17. Strong language skills: fluency in English and either Dutch or French
18. Effective planning and organizational abilities.
19. Excellent written and spoken communication, along with interpersonal skills.
20. Accuracy and ability to work with deadlines
