We are currently looking for a “Bid Manager” to support Telenet Business in achieving its objectives.
You will coordinate, manage and monitor the End-to-End bid management process for complex commercial bids via temporary Bid Teams. You will bear responsibility throughout the entire tendering process in order to generate the best possible chance of success.
Your primary responsibility is to ensure the effective and efficient development of a compelling value proposition that significantly increases our chance of winning business and allows us to deliver to our client’s needs and expectations.
How will you spend your days?
1. In close collaboration with the Account Manager, you will develop a clear winning approach for each bid for the end-to-end tendering process and ensure that win themes are compelling and meet our client’s needs.
2. You will plan & manage different temporary BidTeam(s) consisting of internal/external subject-matter experts. You will evaluate and monitor the offer created by the BidTeam(s) and ensure that it is a proper translation of the client’s requirements, while checking the tender against the legislation and the specific contract terms.
3. You will monitor and enforce the progress of the offer during the various phases of the tendering process in terms of time (milestones and deadlines), quality, capacity, organisation, risks and opportunities, budget, scope, compliance.
4. You identify expectations of internal/external stakeholders, manage change, reconcile conflicting interests and ensure timely and correct communication on the project (Stakeholder Management).
5. You are able to apply sound bid management and project management methodology and expertise, including managing resources, timeframes, quality and governance, while mitigating risks.
6. You will build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders
7. You will also manage the bid budget and monitor and report on overall performance.
Here’s what we are looking for in candidates
8. Good knowledge of project, bid, time and resource management and the ability to apply this in a practical way. Knowledge/certification of Bid Management and/or project management methodologies is an added value.
9. Know-how about procedures, tools, techniques and/or laws and regulations.
10. Analytical skills are required to translate complexity (large amounts of information, specific requirements, criteria, conditions, instructions) into deliverables,
11. Strong leadership skills to motivate and steer the BidTeams in the right direction and manage different BidTeams and workflows at the same time.
12. Flexibility to respond to changes and adapt to a new situation.
13. Strong focus on the objectives and required outcome, highly result-driven.
14. Excellent communication skills to deal with a variety of stakeholders on different levels
15. Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
16. A master’s degree and 7-10 years’ experience in Bid Management
17. Good knowledge of Dutch, French and English
