Freelance IT 2nd Line Support Engineer
We are looking for a highly skilled IT 2nd Line Support Engineer to join our IT support team as we work through the merger with a small- to medium-sized enterprise (SME) in the logistics sector. This role involves providing technical support, resolving complex issues, and assisting with the integration of IT systems between our company and the SME. As part of the IT support team, you will work closely with various internal teams, external vendors, and key stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition and continuity of services.
Responsibilities:
* Provide 2nd line technical support during the IT integration process as the company merges with the SME in the logistics sector.
* Assist with the migration and consolidation of systems, networks, and applications, ensuring minimal disruption to day-to-day operations.
* Collaborate with the project team to implement integration strategies and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
* Handle escalated technical issues from the 1st Line Support team, ensuring that all incidents are resolved within agreed SLAs.
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware, software, and networking issues, providing timely solutions to end users.
* Conduct root cause analysis and provide recommendations for long-term fixes and improvements.
* Assist in the management and configuration of servers, network devices, and other IT infrastructure components as part of the integration process.
* Ensure seamless connectivity and functionality of both legacy and new systems across the organization post-merger.
* Support and monitor the company's network infrastructure, identifying potential issues and taking corrective action when necessary.
* Provide 2nd line support to users across both organizations, offering expert advice and assistance with their IT-related issues.
* Deliver training sessions to end-users on newly integrated systems, ensuring they are equipped to use new tools and platforms effectively.
* Maintain documentation on frequently asked questions, troubleshooting guides, and support procedures.
