Job Description:
Are you ready to take on a dynamic role in a leading international company? We are looking for an excavator operator to handle a variety of digging and lifting tasks within our Energy department. This position includes opportunities to work both domestically and internationally. Prefer to work solely within Belgium? That’s possible if you can demonstrate relevant experience as a wheeled excavator operator.
About the company:
You’ll be joining a globally renowned, fast-growing leader in engineering and infrastructure projects. Specializing in sectors like energy, water, civil construction, and industrial installations, the company is known for its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and excellence. From cutting-edge energy pipelines to complex international engineering challenges, this is a workplace where your skills can shine. The team values safety, precision, and teamwork while offering employees exciting opportunities for career growth in both local and international environments.
This is what we’re looking for:
1. You hold the required qualifications, including a VDAB construction machinery operator certificate or equivalent from a recognized training center.
2. Skilled in operating wheeled and/or tracked excavators.
3. Minimum of 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.
4. Fluent in Dutch, with knowledge of French or English being a strong asset.
5. A Category B driver’s license is required.
6. Reliable and able to work both independently and in a team environment.
7. Flexibility and a proactive attitude—physical labor doesn’t scare you.
We value your expertise and hard work. Here’s what we offer:
1. Work with a large, growing international player in the industry.
2. Competitive salary starting at €19/hour, with adjustments based on experience and qualifications.
3. A 40-hour workweek with 12 additional leave days (ADV).
4. Welcoming and supportive colleagues who will help you feel at home.
5. Meal vouchers worth €5 per worked day.
6. A clothing allowance of €0.50 per worked day.
7. Mobility allowance and convenient pick-up points near your residence.
8. Access to construction and weather compensation stamps in line with industry standards.
9. Paid vacation in accordance with the construction calendar in Ghent.
10. The chance to work on exciting international projects where your contribution makes a real difference.
11. Extensive onboarding, internal and external training, and opportunities for career development.
12. A permanent contract after a successful interim period.
