Role Overview:
As a Senior Business Development Manager – Contract Logistics, you will be responsible for driving business growth through identifying, developing, and securing new contract logistics opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and execute a robust business development strategy to expand contract logistics services in targeted markets.
* Pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
* Build relationships with key decision-makers in target industries, including retail, e-commerce, FMCG, Chemicals, automotive, and healthcare.
* Lead the sales cycle, from lead generation and solution development to contract negotiation and deal closure.
* Collaborate with internal teams to design customized logistics solutions, ensuring alignment with client requirements and operational capabilities.
* Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and commercial offers to prospective clients.
* Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to refine business development strategies.
* Drive revenue growth and profitability through strategic account management and customer retention initiatives.
Requirements:
* Minimum 7-10 years of experience in business development or sales within the contract logistics sector.
* A strong track record of securing and managing large-scale logistics contracts.
* Deep understanding of contract logistics, warehousing, distribution, and supply chain solutions.
* Dutch native speaking with fluent English (French being a plus).
* Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
* Ability to develop and maintain high-level client relationships and strategic partnerships.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
