A look at your next challenge...
At Ethias, we all have the same goal: to make a positive impact on the lives of people. And everyone in our organization works towards that goal.
As a Private Assets Investment Manager, you will work closely with the Private Markets Investment Manager and support the analysis, implementation, and monitoring of private markets investments.
You will be in charge of a portfolio of non-quoted assets covering mainly investments in Belgium in the form of private debt (bilateral loan) or infrastructure projects (debt or equity) and, to a lesser extent, private equity.
You will work in coordination and support of a senior colleague.
Depending on your skills and experience, you will take part in the following tasks:
1. Identify and approach SMEs/corporates or developers; you are the point of contact for external project sponsors. You represent Ethias and are constantly looking for new opportunities with entrepreneurs or project developers, taking into consideration internal constraints.
2. Perform due diligence tasks (e.g., administration of Q&A, maintenance of a repository with all relevant files, follow-up of checklists, challenge of received inputs, listing of key identified risks, etc.).
3. Selectivity is key. Given your extensive financial knowledge, you can rapidly challenge investment opportunities proposed to you to avoid wasting time and money, and stay focused.
4. Set up complex financial models in Excel and develop ad hoc scenarios.
5. Lead negotiations around legal documentation.
6. Draft investment memos that decipher the business model of a company, how it generates cash, and can distribute it to investors, while highlighting how risks can be mitigated (or not).
7. Prepare documents and participate in investment committees, defending your proposals.
8. Follow up on the portfolio and perform complex internal valuation exercises.
And more challenging responsibilities...
