Your Scope
We are looking for a Group Manufacturing Controller to take the lead in the financial budgeting & controlling for several plants. You will report into the Group Controlling Manager and you will work closely with regional management (e.g. plant directors). This position requires ownership and initiative, so to create a direct impact on the further development of our organization. You will have contacts with diverse stakeholders within the firm (Finance, Sales, Supply Chain, corporate & local management, etc.). You will work from our head office in Ardooie.
Your key focus areas are the following:
1. Responsible for all closings, supervising & challenging the financial budgets, KPI reporting in a uniform way over half of our plants;
2. Business partnering with plants and sales in order to give correct insights & support the push for continuous improvement;
3. Contribute to the strategic financial decisions of plants within your portfolio and coordinate the developments of financial plans (e.g. CAPEX projects) to ensure that our strategic goals can be realized;
4. Advise line management regarding short- and long-term budgeting to ensure that management has sufficient information to take decisions;
5. Draw up, check and follow up financial reporting procedures in order to guarantee high quality reports at all times and that we meet the applicable criteria in terms of service, quality and processing time.
6. Act as a project team member to actively support the development of new systems and continuous improvement projects such as new reportings in SAP, costing manuals, continuous improvement initiatives, etc., to ensure that the best possible implementation can be guaranteed.
Your profile
7. You have a Master’s degree in Economics or Finance
8. You are a senior expert with 5-10 years relevant experience in budgeting & controlling. Experience in a production environment is a must
9. You have excellent collaboration and communication abilities since you work closely with internal and external stakeholders, you are a sparring partner to the business, able to explain your consolidated insights to non-financial profiles
10. People management skills are a plus
11. You have proven analytical skills with a high focus on delivering quality and improving the status quo
12. You are hands-on, you have a can-do mentality and a heart for continuous improvement
13. You are an advanced Excel user; knowledge of SAP and BI tools is an asset
14. You speak Dutch fluently and have a good knowledge of English. French and German are a plus.
