Responsibilities & Key Tasks
Performance & Project Management
* Developing and implementing production plans and strategies, both short-term and long-term, to meet production objectives (KPIs), as well as taking an active leadership role in continuous improvement and investment projects (OPEX and CAPEX).
* Analyzing and presenting production data and reporting within the management team on performance and areas for improvement.
* Stimulating the team towards innovation, increased efficiency, quality, and independence through a hands-on and people-oriented coaching style. This includes one-on-one meetings, performance evaluations, and reviews, where you are the ultimate responsible for the department.
Process Optimalization, Innovation & Development
* Responsible for budget management and cost-effectiveness within the (sub)department(s).
* Responsible for planning and executing maintenance and investment projects.
* Collaborating with other departments such as Supply Chain and Sales to ensure a smooth production flow.
Quality Management
* Ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards within the production environment.
Leadership & Coaching
* Building a fully functional production department with engaged employees.
* Supporting the team in their further development and motivating them through coaching, mentoring, and training.
* Member of the management team.
* Leading and coordinating all production activities within our glass manufacturing facility to ensure efficient and effective operations.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
* A completed bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant technical and/or management field.
* At least 10 years of experience in a leadership management role within production or operations.
* Excellent knowledge/experience of (container) glass production processes and LEAN manufacturing techniques.
* Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively motivate and support teams through coaching, training, and mentoring.
* Proven experience in budget management and cost control.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in Dutch and English.
* Problem-solving ability and a hands-on mentality to quickly and efficiently tackle challenges.
* Experience with ERP systems (SAP) and other production-related software solutions is a plus.
* Ability to communicate convincingly and fluently with various stakeholders and customers.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Able to manage change. The site is in startup mode and constantly evolving.
* Ability to think and act strategically in a dynamic and complex environment.
