In this role you will…
1. Be responsible for the operation of a production plant within a production site.
2. Supervise / Manage day to day vaccines operations (Bulk, Formulation and Filling) so as to cope with the demand. Manage a team of supervisors and their related staff.
3. Be rsponsible for the application of the GSKBio strategy and its development in his production unit.
4. Ensure that the facility, equipment, and staff are appropriately designed and trained to ensure production activities as well as to facilitate transfer of new processes from Industrialisation
5. Make sure that the facility is properly managed in accordance with highest quality standards, including Security and (Bio)
6. Safety aspects :
7. Ensure compliance of the operations with GMP and Authorities requirements. Monitors quality of the production in close collaboration with QC and take corrective actions when necessary. Responsible to implement the Operational Excellence Process in the facility.
8. Apply the recommended processes and continuously anticipates potential improvements of the current processes while assuring compliance with the Change Management procedures.
9. Be responsible for representation of the Facility Activities during External Audits (FDA, WHO, Nat Health Authorities).
10. Be responsible to represent GSK towards visitors and local authorities
Why you? ;
Qualifications & Skills:
11. Bio Engineer or University degree in sciences or equivalent acquired through experience.
12. At least 3 to5 years experiences in vaccine production or specific production unit.
13. Advanced knowledge in supply chain management, processes, and biopharmaceuticals technologies.
14. Good knowledge of GMP for biological products.
15. Knowledge of Logistique (washing and supply) processes is an asset.
16. Good level of written and spoken English Experience.
17. Understands key business issues in own area. Applies management skills to improve efficiency and accomplish operational objectives within own unitAbility to coach, motivate and inspire a team even remotely (Siena, Rockville & Marburg).
18. Works to control costs related to work in team managed, within budgetary constraints.
19. Based on information that is readily available, takes prompt decisions related to challenges and issues of own unit to ensure continued effectiveness of own unit.
20. Decisions are guided by policies, procedures and own business plan and impact the efficiency and effectiveness of own unit.
21. Communicates effectively and regularly to inform team members of work plans and progress.
