The role
The Technical Backoffice Engineer is responsible for the technical preparation and execution different smart metering projects (analysis of documentation, preparation of technical setups, coordination and configuration of installations, troubleshooting).
Your challenges
You join the Operations department of nanoGrid. In collaboration with your peers, you are responsible for the full technical elaboration of well-defined smart metering projects.
You review the documentation provided by the customer (diagrams, photos, ground plans) and translate them into a proposal for installation of our smart metering technology.
You collaborate closely with the project manager who coordinates the end-to-end delivery of the project. You supervise the installation process and take care of the technical configuration, as well as troubleshooting of installed components.
A wide and helpful network of specialists in the various sub-domains of installation techniques at nanoGrid helps you to achieve this mission.
You have an eye for detail, are communicative and the mind of an engineer that loves to solve puzzles. And since we love to get better every day, you are able to think outside of the box and make continuous improvement suggestions.
You work from our headquarters in Erembodegem and you report to the TBO Teamlead.

* You have a relevant background, ideally bachelor’s or master’s degree (Electrical Engineering or similar)
* Experience in smart metering projects is a plus.
* You feel closely involved with the energy / environment topics.
* You have a knowledge of current techniques, such as HVAC, lighting, insulation, EPC / EPB, …
* You have a good knowledge of Dutch & English. French or German is a plus.
