JOB PURPOSE
The Product Data Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timely processing of product data across our company. This role plays a critical part in maintaining data integrity within our systems, ensuring adherence to established data standards and governance processes. The Product Data Specialist collaborates cross-functionally to support data consistency, quality, and compliance with business requirements.
Additionally, the role oversees the management of the Schoeller Allibert PIM system (currently Contentserv), supporting continuous improvement in data governance, technical data sheet management, and change management processes.
YOUR JOB
Your key responsibilities will be as follows:
1. Develop and implement master data management rules and processes to ensure high data quality and integrity.
2. Define and oversee data ownership structures, managing data changes and processing across departments.
3. Ensure all product master data is up to date within company systems, aligning with product roadmaps.
4. Regularly review product data with the Product Director and Product Managers to manage product lifecycle updates.
5. Oversee the integration and governance of technical data sheets, ensuring consistency and accessibility.
6. Serve as the primary point of contact for the PIM system, collaborating with IT and external vendors for system management and ticket resolution.
7. Act as the gatekeeper for data governance, enforcing coding standards and data quality rules.
8. Lead change management initiatives related to data processes and system improvements.
9. Track, analyze, and report on data quality metrics, including enrichment progress, SLA compliance, and SKU completeness.
10. Collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders, including regional business units and senior management, to drive data excellence.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
1. A degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
2. At least 3 years of experience in an international, mid-to-large-sized company.
3. Experience in the plastic returnable packaging industry (preferred but not required).
4. Strong background in stakeholder management, both internal and external.
Specialist Skills & Knowledge
1. In-depth understanding of business processes and master data management.
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented mindset.
3. Proficiency in project management and data quality rule setting.
4. Hands-on experience with PIM systems (e.g., Contentserv or similar platforms).
5. Knowledge of injection molding processes and product data management (preferred).
Interpersonal & Communication Skills
1. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive initiatives.
2. Strong networking and collaboration skills, capable of working across multiple departments.
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present data insights effectively.
4. Proven ability to align different stakeholders and foster a culture of data-driven decision-making.
