Our client, active in the real estate sector, is looking for a legal advisor to provide advice and assistance on anti-money laundering regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments and training staff.
Description
* You will contribute to the development of an integrated digital system for notarial offices:
You will collaborate on the development and implementation of this system, and contribute to its ongoing improvement;
You will be responsible for the entire project, acting as the first point of contact with the IT department;
You provide independent support to workgroups in terms of both content and processes, and report back to them;
You contribute to communication, promotion and follow-up;
* You assist notaries in all aspects of their anti-money laundering obligations (legal assistance, communication, awareness raising and implementation of instruments);
* You also provide day-to-day legal support and advice in-house, to notaries and various authorities, on the various issues that fall within the remit of the National Chamber, such as the notarial traineeship, notarial companies and associations, the notary's status, professional secrecy, ethics and related topics;
* You will work as part of a team of legal colleagues.
Profile
* Master's degree in law. A Master's degree in notarial studies would be an additional advantage;
* You can demonstrate experience in a legal function, and are familiar with or interested in anti-money laundering regulations;
* You have an affinity with IT projects from the user's point of view;
* You have an aptitude for legal analysis and a broad interest in the various aspects of the notarial profession;
* You are bilingual (FR/NL);
* You have sufficient knowledge of Microsoft applications;
* You are able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team;
* You are a good communicator.
