As Head of Investment Office in a pan European Insurance group, you will be responsible for developing and executing the organizations investment strategy and helping the company achieve its ambitious financial and strategic objectives. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead an investment team and oversee the investment portfolio, ensure alignment with organizational goals, optimize returns and manage risks in compliance with Belgian and International regulation. This dynamic senior position will also enable you to foster strong relationships with stakeholders such as board members, clients, and external partners. Your responsibilities Cooperating with asset managers in defining and challenging the strategic asset allocation. Overseeing and implementing the investment portfolio along the approved allocations. Monitoring and mitigating risks, including credit, interest rate, and market risks. Monitoring the duration and structure of assets relative to liabilities to prevent mismatches that could impact financial stability, especially in fluctuating interest rate environments. Ensuring that there is enough liquidity to cover claim, operational expenses and other financial engagements at all time horizons. Running scenario analyses and stress tests on the investment portfolio. Overseeing the allocation and performance of the investment portfolio, ensuring optimal returns within the defined risk tolerance. Monitoring market trends, economic developments, and investment opportunities to guide informed decision making. Tracking and reporting on investment performance, benchmarking against industry standards and company goals. Ensuring all investment activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. Selecting, monitoring and evaluating external managers in relation with the Unit Linked business. Managing a team of 6 people and ensuring people development through regular 121, coaching and process performance review. Your profile You have at least a bachelors degree in finance or equivalent that demonstrates strong financial knowledge. You have extensive experience (7 to 10 years) from a life insurer ideally combined with an investment banking background. International experience is an asset. You are a native French or Dutch speaker with good command of the other national language and have a strong command of English. You have demonstrated strong stakeholder management skills. You have a strong and broad financial product knowledge (Credit, Fixed Income, Liquidity, Derivatives) and have proven experience of ALM, assets, cash flows, liabilities. You demonstrate a solid insurance understanding on asset and liabilities side (Solvency II, P). You have proven experience of risk management and risk parameters (Statistical analysis Derivative Greeks).
