For one of our customers in Belgium, we are in search of a HSE Supervisor for a very large newbuild project.
The purpose of the SHE supervisor is to ensure that the project is executed safely and meets the project KPIs and objectives. The role will be part of an Integrated (Owner/EPMC) team that prepares and organizes the health and safety program for the Project Delivery Team. This person will provide functional support and guidance to the SHE Manager. The role reports to the Construction SHE Manager and the Construction Manager.
Responsibilities
1. Supervise the practical execution of the Overall SHE&S Plan within the assigned area.
2. Ensure site safety from the first day of site preparation.
3. Manage day to day safety supervision on site, approve/disapprove tools & work installations, and intervene on unsafe acts.
4. Support the layout of the site relating to constructability, accessibility, traffic ways, equipment transport, and lifting strategies.
5. Support the Construction Manager and other team members in resolving SHE nonconformances.
6. Report to the assigned SHE manager on a daily basis.
7. Liaise closely with Contractor personnel on all SHE matters, ensuring field SHE issues are resolved in a proper and timely manner.
8. Work closely with the Legal Safety Coordinator for compliance with Temporary and Mobile Worksites regulation.
9. Monitor SHE work performed by Contractors and other third parties, providing oversight and guidance to ensure that all work satisfies specifications and standards.
10. Ensure and participate in regular safety inspections.
11. Participate in audits related to the SHE disciplines of the contractors and support audits from outside parties.
12. Evaluate method statements, RAMS, and safe execution plans; follow up on environmental monitoring and permit conditions.
Je profiel
Degree qualified or equivalent in an appropriate engineering discipline.
MVK or PA2 qualification.
More than 15 years experience in SHE supervision during construction on a major construction site.
Good understanding of English in speaking and writing, and preferably fluent in Dutch.
