Now, we are looking for a Data Center PM in our office in Madrid (Spain) and Mechelen (Belgium).
What is the role About?
As a Data Center Project Manager at IPS, you will actively manage various types of projects, ranging from small security improvements to the complete renovation of all facilities in large server rooms. The management of your project can include several phases and/or specializations:
1. Project feasibility: building layout, technical space/white space layout, general time planning, purchasing strategy, financial plan, TIER level determination.
2. Project preparation phase: investment analysis, basic engineering, TIER checklist, permits, financing, and procurement.
3. Project implementation phase: project management; detailed engineering, construction management, commissioning management, operational management.
Requirements
• Master's degree in engineering: electrical engineering/mechanical engineering/electromechanical engineering.
• Very good knowledge of Dutch and English. Knowledge of French, Spanish, or German is an asset.
• 10 years of relevant experience with industrial projects, 5 to 7 years of which at critical locations such as hospitals, military facilities, data centers, airports, power stations, tunnels (experience with electrical and cooling projects, 24/7).
• Strong interest in data centers and their specific cooling facilities (chiller, loops, DFU, DX, containment, etc.), resilient power (generators, switch cabinets, UPS, distribution), and/or electronics.
• Experience with European projects and a good knowledge of standards and certificates.
• Experience with network cables is an added value.
• Ability to work independently, as well as strong team and communication skills.
• Good skills in project management tools (MS Project, Primavera P6) and design software (AutoCAD, BIM, Revit, Naviswork, BIM 360 or similar). MEP software for calculations or revision is a nice asset.
