As part of our CFO Advisory practice, you'll partner with other specialized professionals to support CFOs embark on the transformational journey to make Finance a true partner for business. The Financial Reporting and Accounting Advisory practice of our CFO Advisory department is looking for a number of Senior IFRS Consultants to expand its team and further support CFOs with building the success of their capital market or other financial operations and deriving value from their complex financial reporting challenges.
What you will do
As a Senior Consultant - IFRS Advisory you will team up with colleagues from CFO Advisory and other KPMG departments supporting clients in all of the financial reporting and communication challenges raised by their transactions or by regulation: deal and post-deal accounting, consolidation, IPO preparation, special financials and carve-outs, structuring for complex projects, IFRS conversions, new accounting standards or interpretations, ESG reporting, etc.
As a trusted advisor, you will get multiple opportunities to develop your knowledge of industry-specific accounting issues, to assist our clients with robust technical accounting analyses and to shape their financial (and non-financial) communication - all making an impact.
We will involve you in practice and business development initiatives, making you an essential cog in growing KPMG CFO Advisory's footprint in the Belgian market.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Master's degree with 3 to 5 years of relevant accounting or audit experience, including exposure to IFRS or capital markets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills required to assist with the analysis of complex accounting questions.
• Strong interest in understanding the substance of transactions and how they translate into numbers.
• Appetite for ESG matters and ESG reporting a plus.
• Curiosity; creative thinking; thinking conceptually and practically; communicating clearly; collaboration.
• Ready to invest in staying up to date with IFRS and ISSB developments.
• Fluent in English and either Dutch or French (both written and spoken).
