We currently have a vacancy for an Expert product owner fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
o Works within the agile process and is the final authority for decisions regarding priority, business value, and functionality for all the work done by the agile development team;
o Interacts and validates requirements with the business;
o Propose solutions by combining IT tools and business process refactoring or improvements based on an in depth understanding of a specific business domain;
o Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences the product backlog based on business value or return of investment;
o Creates user stories and acceptance tests from themes and features granular enough for a single sprint;
o Participates to retrospectives, sprint and release planning, demos and other Scrum-related meetings;
o Performs the role of Scrum master.
Requirements
o Master’s degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in IT;
o At least 5 years of experience with Java SE/EE;
o At least 5 years working experience with SOAP/REST webservices;
o At least 5 years working experience with Oracle DB;
o At least 5 years experience in Scrum methodology;
o Experience with large, enterprise-level multi-user and technologies Information Systems;
o Experience in Agile;
o Good knowledge of agile toolbox (i.e. JIRA, Confluence, BigPicture, Gliffy, Balsamiq, etc.);
o Good knowledge of Application Management Lifecycle;
o Good knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture;
o Good knowledge of applications design;
o Good knowledge of modelling tools;
o Good knowledge of Enterprise Architecture;
o Good knowledge of Relational DBMS;
o Good knowledge of business process analysis;
o Knowledge of interoperability technology (e.g. web services, message oriented middleware, service oriented bus);
o Good redaction skills;
o One of the following certifications is mandatory: Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO), SAFe Product Owner or equivalent;
o Following certifications are an asset: ITIL certification above ITIL foundation (or equivalent), Project management certification such as Prince2, PM² or equivalent;
o Excellent command of the English language.
