About the role
Interested in joining a strongly growing and dynamic international insurance company? Monument Belgium is looking for a Business Analyst IT / Actuarial for its Liège office. Within the local ‘IT Department’ – which manages & develops the Policy Administration Systems for Life Insurance (corporate and individuals) – the IT department mainly coordinates the development in the context of business projects or continuous business improvement.
You will play a key interface role between the IT department and the Actuarial function to clearly translate requirements into solutions to be developed by our teams (Cobol, Delphi-OOP).
Responsibilities
* Develop documentation for “Revision” & other Actuarial functionalities modules of our PAS.
* Support Actuarial resources at specifying the requirements and formalizing them in standard documents.
* Model business processes in BPMN.
* Collaborate with internal stakeholders (IT, Operations, Business, etc.).
* Analyze existing systems and evaluate the impact of various projects on these systems and processes.
* Prepare various tests (processes and calculations) to ensure the quality and reliability of the developments.
* Document changes clearly and comprehensively.
Role Requirements
* You have at least a bachelor’s degree, preferably in mathematics, computer science or economics, or equivalent experience.
* You have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the life insurance or investment products (banks) sectors. Knowledge of classic life insurance products is a plus.
* You are French-speaking with a good command of the other national language, and you can work in English.
* You master MS Office and have demonstrated knowledge of BPMN. You also have experience with the editing of business requirements.
* You have an analytical mind, and you are customer- and solution-oriented.
* You work meticulously, are organized, and result-oriented.
* You can work independently, take initiative, and possess team spirit.
* You are able to analyze user needs, identify requirements, and design technical solutions that meet those needs.
* You can solve complex problems and make informed decisions using data and analysis.
* You communicate effectively with technical and non-technical team members to explain IT architecture concepts in a clear and concise manner.
