We are a team of enthusiastic people working in a friendly environment and are looking for a VIE (“Volontariat International en Entreprise”) who will help us strengthen our dialogue with the EU institutions and the broader stakeholder community. This role will give you an opportunity to get to know the L’Oréal Group and to develop solid skills in the field of public affairs.
Who am I?
Your primary tasks will be to:
1. Monitor and analyse EU policies and legislative developments relevant to the L’Oréal Group;
2. Co-drafting of briefings, presentations and positions based on prior research and dialogue with key stakeholders;
3. Attend external conferences or association meetings and report back to the team;
4. Build and maintain a network of contacts;
5. Support the organization of events /meetings with EU stakeholders.
Your profile
6. You meet the criteria defined by Business France for the VIE programme: you are aged between and and you are a citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA). More information at this link:
7. You hold a master’s degree from a university or business school, preferably in an area related to EU law, public policy or economics;
8. You have previous experience in EU affairs (i.e. Internship in the European Parliament, Commission, Industry, Embassy or public affairs agency), a good understanding of EU decision-making process and the wider EU political environment;
9. You are fluent in French and English both orally and in writing. Working level of another EU language is an asset;
10. You have strong organizational, research, analytical skills and a systematic approach to work;
11. You are result-oriented, a critical thinker, you possess the ability to prioritize and work independently as well as in teams;
12. You communicate effectively and have the ability to maintain good relations with internal and external stakeholders.
