We are looking for a Infrastructure Lead skilled in HPC.
This role offers the opportunity to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of large-scale IT infrastructure that supports advanced research, AI workloads, and high-performance computing.
Your Role
* Architect Next-Gen Infrastructure – Design and implement scalable, high-performance research IT environments that integrate on-prem and cloud solutions.
* Lead Innovation – Stay ahead of technological advancements in HPC, cloud computing, and AI-driven workflows to enhance research capabilities.
* Optimize Performance & Security – Ensure infrastructure reliability, data integrity, and cybersecurity while handling large-scale computational workloads.
* Strategic Influence – Provide expert guidance on technology roadmaps, vendor selection, budget planning, and cost-efficient scaling of IT infrastructure.
* Collaborate with Experts – Work closely with researchers, engineers, and IT teams to align infrastructure with scientific and business objectives.
* Develop & Implement Best Practices – Define technology standards, compliance frameworks, and operational procedures to maintain a world-class IT environment.
What You Bring
* Deep expertise in HPC & AI-driven infrastructure with experience in large, multi-site environments.
* Strong proficiency in Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, GPU computing, and distributed computing frameworks.
* Advanced knowledge of network architecture, data storage, transfer protocols, and cloud integration.
* Experience with job schedulers, automation tools, and containerized applications to optimize computing workloads.
* Proven ability to manage technical roadmaps, licensing agreements, and infrastructure investments.
* Solid understanding of IT security best practices, compliance standards, and incident response management.
* Strong analytical mindset with a solution-oriented approach to troubleshooting and performance tuning.
* Fluency in English and French; Dutch is an asset.
