We are currently recruiting for one of our clients, a dynamic and fast-growing European digital marketing agency. As part of their ongoing expansion, they are looking for an experienced Sales Team Lead to take charge of their commercial development in the Spanish market. This role is based in Madrid and combines strategic sales execution with team leadership responsibilities.
Role Overview
As a Sales Team Lead, you will be responsible for defining and executing the sales strategy for the Spanish market, while leading and developing a high-performing team of two sales professionals. You will play a hands-on role in driving new business opportunities and building long-term client relationships. Your leadership will be key in fostering a culture of performance, growth, and client success.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Business Development
* Define and implement the sales strategy for the Spanish market.
* Identify new opportunities and actively prospect potential clients.
* Manage the full sales cycle: consultation, negotiation, and closing.
* Build and maintain a portfolio of strategic clients in Spain.
* Ensure client satisfaction, retention, and long-term development.
Team Leadership
* Lead, support, and grow a small but high-performing sales team (2 people).
* Recruit, onboard, and train new sales talents aligned with company goals.
* Provide regular feedback and coaching to improve both individual and team performance.
* Foster team motivation, engagement, and professional development.
* Implement strategies to enhance team autonomy and drive results.
Performance & Reporting
* Set and track performance indicators (individual and team KPIs).
* Prepare forecasts and reports to ensure targets for qualified meetings are met (in both quantity and quality).
* Manage relationships with key accounts and strategic partners in Spain.
* Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, strategy, and operations.
Your Profile
* Master’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum 5 years of successful sales experience with clients of various sizes.
* Previous experience in a digital agency is essential, with strong knowledge of SEO, SEA, or broader Digital Marketing.
* Proven leadership abilities and experience managing a sales team.
* Results-oriented, proactive, and entrepreneurial.
* Fluent in English (mandatory).
* Fluent in Spanish (mandatory).
* French is a plus.
