Your challenges
As a Specification Sales Manager, you will join our ambitious and dedicated Benelux sales team and you will be responsible for achieving the goals set within your Belux area (Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, Wallonia and Brussels aria). To this end, you will work closely with your colleagues from the sales team and sales operations. One day per week you are working at the office to coordinate with your fellow Spec Sales colleague and to prepare commercial presentations to support the Sales Operations team.
In this role, you will report to the Country Manager Belgium, and you will be based at our office in Wavre. Joining our team, you’ll be working in a setting where proactivity is encouraged, and customer focus is a given. We are self-driven and solution-oriented team players.
Your primary tasks include:
1. Annually preparing an acquisition plan and executing it.
2. Proactively engaging with potential and existing professional influencers such as project developers, architects, consultancy firms, building owners, facility managers, property managers, self-developing contractors, etc.
3. Promoting the application possibilities and creating the conditions under which a contract can be established.
4. Following up on the sales process together with other colleagues.
5. Providing information about Velux Commercial Benelux, its people, products, and regulations regarding daylight concepts.
6. Generating project specifications to become the brand of choice, as a result of your consultative approach .
7. Collecting and verifying market information as well as project details, documenting these in the CRM system, and proactively sharing the information with other stakeholders within the organization.
8. Participating in Benelux Team meetings.
Your qualifications
It is natural for you to develop as well as maintain relationships and you have strong communication and collaboration skills. You are proactive, self-motivated and see problems as potential opportunities.
Besides that, you have a goal-oriented approach, so you are self-driven by achieving results.
In addition, we expect that you have:
9. A bachelor’s degree in architecture and/or mechanical engineering
10. Familiar with and a broad experience in tendering and commissioning of projects in a responsible way. This means that you have commercial, technical and architectural insight; and that you demonstrate ownership in the required cost structure for the realization of complete projects
11. Product and concept technical knowledge
12. Preferably experience in a similar role in the project market
13. Experience in project realisation
14. Pro-active and result orientated
15. Strong problem-solving skills
16. Familiar with giving and drafting advice
17. Command of the Dutch, French, German and English language.
