Akkodis is seeking a dynamic and driven Operational Efficiency Leader for a client in the defense sector, known for its expertise in safety and security technologies. This role is pivotal in driving initiatives to minimize inefficiencies, boost productivity, and enhance operational agility within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead Multidisciplinary Teams: Guide diverse teams in applying Lean methodologies for effective root cause analysis and implementation of corrective actions in high-stakes environments.
* Eliminate Waste: Spearhead efforts to quickly address and rectify pressing issues, aiming to reduce response times by 50% or more for product, process, and organizational challenges in critical systems.
* Boost Productivity: Form and lead a rapid-response to tackle issues decisively and streamline the process of handling client concerns in the defense and aerospace sectors.
* Flexibility and Agility: Fast-track the acquisition of new accreditations, uphold a progressive culture, and achieve superior, tangible results in a technology-driven environment.
* Drive Organizational Improvement: Implement new organizational frameworks and processes, eliminate departmental silos, and cultivate a problem-solving mindset across the team.
* Enhance Client Relations: Elevate the organization’s reputation and client interactions, particularly with stakeholders in defense and security.
* Analyze and Act: Develop strategic action plans and conduct thorough trend analysis from audits and performance data related to critical information systems.
* Spread QA Culture: Advocate for and implement quality standards across the organization, fostering a strong quality mindset throughout the team.
* Proactive and Solution-Oriented: Drive initiatives with a focus on finding solutions and advancing projects with a "we can do it" attitude.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Electro-Mechanical Engineering, Engineering, Quality Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is advantageous.
* Proven experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and managing complex projects in high-tech or defense-related fields.
* Demonstrable experience in operational excellence, process improvement, or a comparable role in aerospace, automotive, or similar sectors.
* Expertise in Lean methodologies and 8D Problem Solving.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
* Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
* Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* Foundational knowledge of electro-mechanical systems is highly beneficial.
* Experience with continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean).
* Familiarity with certification processes and quality management systems.
* Proven track record in driving cultural and structural transformation within an organization.
