Job Summary
The IT Project Manager is responsible for managing and coordinating IT Projects, controlling the project timeline, progress and changes and of monitoring the project development. This includes the reporting of the project status to keep all stakeholders informed.
Objectives of this role
Build and develop the project team to ensure maximum performance, by providing purpose, direction, and motivation
Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, identifying schedules, scopes, budget estimations, and implementation plans, including risk mitigation
Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure that projects adhere to scope, schedule, and budget
Analyze and share project status and, when necessary, revise the scope, schedule, or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met
Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders and teams, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes
Tasks & Responsibilities
Managing and coordinating IT projects
Defining and clarifying project scope, including development of a project plan and deliverables (Scope, Time and Budget)
Identifying project needs, including resources, team members and involvement of other departments
Coordination of team effort, assigning tasks, providing direction to project members and motivating the team
Assurance Quality of the project execution including all aspects of its execution
Adhere to Julius Baer Project Delivery Framework
Identify and analyze risks related to the project
Controlling of project timeline, progress and changes
Creating schedule and project timeline, preventing budget overruns and report project progression
Implementation and managing of necessary changes to meet project objectives and assure project quality
Control and documentation of project progress and evaluation of project stages until the end result
Monitoring Project Development
Produce Project Documentation
Ensure proper documentation of Project according to internal standards
Report Project Status
Monitor and control project progress (schedule, budget, scope, risks); keep stakeholders informed.
Job Requirements
Experience/Knowledge/Skills
BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field and proven working experience as an IT project manager in finance sector
Excellent Client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, SharePoint and JIRA
Analytical and critical mindset
Excellent English language skills, German & French language skills are considered as advantage
Experience with Temenos Core Banking software (T24 and/or Triple'A) are considered as an advantage
