Our Brussels office, dedicated to European public affairs, supports businesses and organizations in navigating the complex institutional environment of the European Union. We operate across a variety of sectors: tech, telecommunications, creative industries, transport, agri-food, chemicals, healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, services, and security/defense.
As part of our expansion, we are recruiting a Business Development director to strengthen our offering and drive growth with European affairs departments, major corporations, key institutions, and associations.
Key Responsibilities :
* Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to prioritize the expansion of our client base and drive revenue growth
* Identify and cultivate new business opportunities with key stakeholders, including International groups, trade associations, etc.
* Develop and implement sales processes and strategies, leveraging your expertise to maximize market penetration and client acquisition.
* Provide strategic input and direction on the development and enhancement of marketing materials and sales collateral to effectively support sales efforts.
* Develop and nurture high-level relationships with key stakeholders.
* Organize events, conferences, and meetings to strengthen relationships with our strategic targets.
Requirements
* At least 7 years of experience in business development, preferably in the public affairs sector, strategic consulting, media sector or complex B2B services.
* Knowledge of the European context: Strong understanding of the functioning of European institutions and sector-specific regulatory issues.
* Commercial skills: Mastery of prospecting, negotiation, and client relationship management techniques.
* Interpersonal skills: Strong communication abilities, with the capacity to engage with high-level stakeholders, political awareness, and diplomacy.
* Tools: Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce) and proficiency in digital prospecting tools (LinkedIn, email automation, etc.).
* Fluent in English; proficiency in French is a strong asset but not mandatory.
