We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Architect with a strong focus on frontend development to join our agile release train. Eurocontrol stakeholders, such as airline dispatchers or flow managers, work in a technical and demanding environment. Our train is dedicated to delivering an incredible user experience to both internal and external users. The candidate will collaborate with a separate team that implements the business services through Ada and C++ backends and will ensure seamless integration and functionality.The products have been in active use (and development) for several years. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of TypeScript, Java, and React, or demonstrate the ability to quickly learn these technologies. In addition to technical skills, a strong interest and familiarity with design thinking is essential. Key responsibilitiesDesign and architect high-quality frontend software solutionsEnsure the technical and functional feasibility of UI/UX designs, given the available business servicesProvide guidance and mentorship to the development team on best practicesCollaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new featuresStay abreast of emerging frontend trends, technologies, and architectures Technical competenciesAbility to capture, articulate, and understand the rationale for technical decisions in architectural documentsProficiency in full stack architecture with a frontend emphasis, ensuring the creation of scalable and robust solutionsSkilled with JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and React, or the ability to quickly learn these technologies.
