For a start-up ready to make biosurfactants mainstream we are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Regulatory & Compliance Officer with experience with REACH dossiers to join the team. Functieomschrijving As Regulatory & Compliance Officer, you will be directly involved in making sure our biosurfactants comply with complex and evolving regulations and that they are safe, legal and trusted.Direct end-to-end regulatory submissions for market approvals, including major new markets. Specifically, you will prepare and submit REACH dossiers for ingredient compliance, particularly surfactants.You will be responsible for making sure we comply to all European/American regulations – REACH and TSCA will be your best friends.You will be responsible for obtaining other labels regularly used in home and personal care.Stay updated on regulatory changes and advise the organization on necessary actions. Engaging with industry associations, regulatory agencies and other external stakeholders on regulatory topics.Performing periodic reviews and evaluations to validate compliance with applicable regulations, possibly with the help of a regulatory consultant.Collaborate with internal teams, regulatory authorities, and external partners to ensure clarity on regulatory requirements and timelines and implement regulatory strategies to secure timely global ingredient approvals.Prepare and empower teams for regulatory audits, driving ongoing improvement and readiness. Profiel The ideal candidate can identify her/him/themselves in the following qualifications:Master’s degree in chemics, biochemistry, bioengineering or biotechnology or equivalent.Experience in regulatory compliance: comprehensive knowledge of EU REACH regulations, experience in regulatory strategy design and its practical implementation.Experience in building and filing regulatory dossiers for chemical substance approval from scratch.Experience in TSCA regulations or with regulations on waste-streams is a plus.Experience with other labels regularly used in home and personal care is a plus.Small teams bring out your best, and the chance to build something from scratch excites you.
