We are delighted to be supporting our client, a global engineering technology specialist, with their search for a Business Development Manager (Oil & Gas).
The ideal candidate will have prior experience with instrumentation technology in the Oil & Gas sector, either someone with previous sales experience in instrumentation, or with an engineering background in this area looking to move into a commercial role.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain high level of performance in territory to meet/exceed sales objectives
* Establishing and maintaining relationships with key accounts; prospecting and developing new accounts in existing and target markets
* Identify new opportunities, develop and execute sales growth strategy
* Develop and maintain sales pipeline
* Review and collaborate on proposals as part of customer tenders with bid team/stakeholders
* Manage and negotiate opportunity to contract process
* Ownership and reporting of KPIs
* Maintain effective communication with business stakeholders (commercial, operations and finance)
* Establish self as go-to trusted expert by gaining intimate knowledge of the business products, services and capabilities
* Maintain competitive market analysis in conjunction with marketing team
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in instrumentation, process/chemical engineering
* 3 - 4 years' prior industry related business development/engineering experience
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Proven knowledge and execution of successful development strategies
* Focused and goal-oriented
