I am currently looking for a freelance purchasing specialist for one of my clients in Belgium.
They are looking for a purchasing professional with SAP knowledge to support their team. They’re preferably seeking someone with experience as a buyer or purchaser in an industrial discrete manufacturing company. You should be capable of overseeing the entire purchasing process, including placing and tracking purchase orders, as well as addressing supply chain challenges.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle purchase orders, follow up with vendors, and ensure on-time deliveries.
* Manage supply chain issues, such as quality concerns or supplier delays, and find solutions (e.g., alternative suppliers).
* Negotiate pricing and maintain strong vendor relationships.
* Support purchasing administration and ensure smooth procurement operations in SAP.
* Work closely with production & manufacturing teams on-site.
Requirements:
* Experience as a buyer/purchaser in an industrial manufacturing environment.
* Knowledge of SAP (hands-on experience preferred).
* Fluent in Dutch and English.
* You will need to be onsite for the first month to get familiar with processes. After that, the role can transition to a hybrid model with 1-2 days of remote work per week. The office is located in Heist-op-den-Berg.
