Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control (QC) professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and commenting on subcontractor welding/NDT procedures, performing inspections and surveillance checks, and ensuring the quality of work meets international standards.
Responsibilities:
* Review and Comment Subcontractor Welding/NDT Procedures:
* Review and comment on subcontractor welding/NDT procedure & qualifications (i.e. welders lists, NDT operator lists, welding consumables management procedure, piping/structural steel certificates, material traceability procedure, Welding Summary List and Welding traceability Reports, etc)
* Perform Inspections and Surveillance Checks:
* Perform witness, inspection & surveillance checks and assess continually Welding/ NDT subcontractor's performance
* Ensure Quality Compliance:
* Ensure that all inspection activities are recorded in the appropriate records.
* Ensuring quality of the work for compliance with CQCP, approved ITP's/ procedures and standards within assigned areas
* Monitor QC Resource Levels:
* Monitor Subcontractors QC resource levels to achieve quality standards according to agreed ratio
* Issue Status Reports:
* Issue status and trend reports as necessary and requested by Site Management providing suggestions on how to improve quality of welding/ NDT activities
* Document Deficiencies:
* Record deficiencies and/or incomplete works on punch items and liaise with Wood supervisor/ superintendent to expedite necessary rectification
* Identify and Document Quality Deficiencies:
* Identify and document Subcontractor and Supplier quality deficiencies and initiate non-conformance process as required.
* Verify Material Compliance:
* Verify that materials used are in accordance with project technical documents and applicable codes and specifications.
* Support QC/ Turnover Team:
* Support QC/ turnover team for collecting relevant QC records
Requirements:
* International Certifications:
* Be in possession of international current certifications for the role in compliance with IIW; PCN or CSWIP.
* NDT Qualifications:
* Be in possession of current qualification of II level NDT in compliance with ISO 9712
* EN Standard and AMSE Code Knowledge:
* Be fully conversant with EN standard and AMSE (B31.3) code requirements and have a solid and demonstrated background on welding engineering (e.g. multiple days courses by internationally recognized institutes)
* Previous Experience:
* Previous experience in application of EN1090 (structural steel) and Pressure Equipment Directive PED (for piping) would be preferable.
