Robotics Application Engineer (M/F)

In order to grow further, address new markets and better serve our customers, we are looking for a Robotics Application Engineer with focus on product validation, training and documentation, to join our team, based in Wavre, Belgium.
Let’s talk about your role
Under the supervision of the Head of the Application Engineering, after acquiring a solid understanding of our existing and planned robotic products and applications, you will be responsible to validate software of embedded devices in robotics systems from requirements for product release in applications. You will create training material for market introduction of new product features and new products and maintain customer documentation in line with product evolutions.
You will work in our robotics application team and will have close cooperation with our software development team, mechanical development team and customer service department.
Key responsibilities :
* Validate new robot software on our test fields and in cooperation with customers;
* Validate robot connected services on smartphone and web portal;
* Develop and use tools (software, test and debug modules etc…) to monitor, analyse and optimize the performances of the fleet of the robots;
* Maintain and update technical documentation, including user and technician manuals, release notes, installation guides and technical bulletins;
* Support at key customer installations to ensure or improve performances and solve issues;
* Prepare and participate in the training of dealers and customers on product features and operations;
* Provide technical feedback and innovative ideas to the development team for functional and quality enhancements.
Your Profile
You have a Master’s degree in Engineering, by preference in Software and/or System engineering. Experience in Mechatronics (robotics, automotive, medical equipment or devices, railway…) or Agricultural engineering is an advantage.
* Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position;
* Broad engineering knowledge (mechanics, electronics, software, telecommunications, sensors) with an understanding of robotic system design, integration and validation;
* Strong date analysis skills using Excel, Script languages and Database tools;
* Proficient in English, ability to work in French is required. Knowledge of Dutch, German or Japanese is a plus;
* Analytical mindset with a clear understanding of engineering processes, particularly in system engineering and software development;
* Solution-oriented and pragmatic approach to addressing engineering challenges;
* Effective communicator for providing feedback and training;
* Having a background or interest in agriculture is a plus.
