As a Model Risk Analyst, you'll join an audit entity of BNP Paribas Group (RISK Independent Review - RISK IR) and participate in the validation of credit risk measurement models and methodologies. You’ll be joining the Credit Risk Methodology (CRM) team, where we review a variety of regulatory models like PD, LGD, and EAD, as well as credit granting scores and IFRS9 ECL methodologies. With team members based in Paris, Brussels, Rome, Montréal, and Madrid, you'll collaborate globally to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of our credit risk systems.
Specifically, you’ll be responsible for the following tasks:
1. Validation tasks regarding both quantitative and qualitative aspects of the BNP Paribas Group’s internal credit rating methodologies and procedures, working with mathematical models of varying complexity.
2. Reviewing existing rating systems (annual backtesting or in-depth analyses) and certifying new ones.
3. Approving request files destined for the supervisory body (ECB).
4. Conducting the assessment of closure of internal or supervisory recommendations.
5. Liaising with senior executive members across the BNP Paribas Group’s RISK Organisation: Model Development teams, Internal Audit and Risk Officers across the different group entities in the Domestic Markets or in the Corporate & Investment Banking environment.

9. Strong statistical knowledge is a must-have.
10. Knowledge of the regulations for credit institutions or willingness to acquire this knowledge (NDoD, Basel IV, EBA Guidelines, IFRS9, CRR/CRD, Collateral eligibility) is a definite plus. So is having experience on the credit side.
11. You have a good command of English, oral and written.
12. Good knowledge of SAS software is a prerequisite. Knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms and prior experience with Python and R programming will be positively taken into consideration.
13. You have a Master's degree (in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Econometrics, Commercial Science, Economics or equivalent) and at least five years relevant experience in credit risk modelling. A first experience in an audit function is an asset.
